Yall have no idea how long I have been looking for 1 Corinthians 5:11… I didn’t know where to find it but I remembered the context of the verse.. I wanted to dissect one of the listed characteristics in the verse. The word “railer” means: a person who uses harsh, abusive, and insolent (rude snd arrogant lack of respect) language to attack or insult others. This includes verbally reviling (criticizing in an abusive manner), cursing, and speaking evil of others… In that verse a railer is on the same level of being greedy, an idol worshiper, a drunkard or a fornicator…

Your nasty words can keep you from entering heaven. People are so quick to tell someone off and throw low blows.. the Bible tells us to STAY AWAY FROM THOSE PEOPLE… & that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. 3 things can come from being around ppl like that..

1. If you’re the intended victim of the harsh words, it can break you spiritually. God has told you that you are fearfully made but the abuser says you’re worthless.
2. If you’re the intended victim, it can cause you to be out of alignment with God because you may get angry and sin.
3. If you’re not careful, you can become one of them because bad company corrupts good character..

And this verse isn’t for unbelievers.. it is for people in the faith! You will meet nasty mouth people who call themselves followers of Christ and although they believe… the Bible states THEY WILL NOT ENTER HEAVEN!!! These people do not walk in repentance and God’s grace is not to be abused.
