Praise God! It's my birthday .
I'm filled with joy and gratitude to God for His Faithfulness and Mercies towards my life. He has been so so... so Good to me, words are not enough to count His blessings and express gratitude for His wonderful deeds in my life.
This morning as I sang praises to God I contemplated the phrase "Happy Birthday". Today is certainly my birthday, but I thought about the word "happy" a little more. I couldn't put a finger on it, but deep down it felt as a matter of fact that I was happy. I tried to figure out why?
It certainly wasn't because today was my birthday, I feel happy and content every other day, and even a 1000% less stressed, because I just feel birthdays come with a little pressure, that's just me.
So what was responsible for my happiness in the quiet of my singing and thoughts; it also wasn't because I had the things that people say should make you happy, like money, material possessions and adulation from people, in fact it's quite the opposite for me in some cases, but yet I'm still happy and at peace with myself.
And just so that I didn't spend too much time contemplating trying to figure out the answer to my question, God dropped the following Passage in my heart:
Psalms 144:15
... Happy are the people whose God is the LORD! NKJV
The sole reason for my happiness is God, regardless of the day, condition or circumstances. His peace surpasses understanding and troubles (Phil 4:4-7, John 16:33).
So my finally realization is that God is my Happiness, my Peace and my Joy. And as this new cycle of my chronicle commences, I just want to start it with gratitude to God for the happiness He has given me all these years. And moreso, I hope you also find happiness in this lifetime as I have. I hope you find God and have a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. There is no love, joy or peace like the LOVE of God, and the peace and joy that comes through the Holy Spirit (Rom 5:5, Gal 5:22-23).

God is Good;
Life is beautiful;
And we need to learn to live more and LOVE more.
