The Hebrew conception of man was composed of the inner self, God is the source of nephesh to the feelings of the mind. So, we must take the emphasis to die to our personal identity, we now have the mind of Christ. Galatioans 6:8- For he that soweth to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting
Mark 8:35- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it
soul life, the soul shall not reign.
( Zoa) - means life, means Spirit shall reign.
The soul ( flesh) must surrender to the Spirit and be in subjection to the Spirit of God.
