Colossians 3:1-4 30+ Versions RSV

So death is at work in us, but life in you.

2 Corinthians 5:1-8 For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Here indeed we groan, and long to put on our heavenly dwelling,

so that by putting it on we may not be found naked.

For while we are still in this tent, we sigh with anxiety; not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

So we are always of good courage; we know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord,

for we walk by faith, not by sight.

We are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

Galatians 2:18-21 But if I build up again those things which I tore down, then I prove myself a transgressor.

For I through the law died to the law, that I might live to God.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

I do not nullify the grace of God; for if justification were through the law, them Christ died to no purpose.

Hebrews 10:5-10 Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said, "Sacrifices and offerings thou hast not desired, but a body hast thou prepared for me;

in burnt offerings and sin offerings thou hast taken no pleasure.

Then I said, 'Lo, I have come to do thy will, O God,' as it is written of me in the roll of the book."

When he said above, "Thou hast neither desired nor taken pleasure in sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings" (these are offered according to the law),

then he added, "Lo, I have come to do thy will." He abolishes the first  in order to establish the second.

And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

1 Peter 1:13-19 Therefore gird up your minds, be sober, set your hope fully upon the grace that is coming to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance,

but as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct;

since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."

And if you invoke as Father him who judges each one impartially according to his deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile.

You know that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your fathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,

but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.

2 Peter 3:14-18 Therefore, beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.

And count the forbearance of our Lord as salvation. So also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,

speaking of this as he does in all his letters. There are some things in them hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other scriptures.

You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, beware lest you  be carried away with the error of lawless men and lose your own stability.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
