A Psalm of David
Psalm 110:1-7 The LORD says to my lord; "Sit at my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool."
The LORD sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your foes!
Your people will offer themselves freely on the day you lead your host upon the holy mountains. From the womb of the morning like dew your youth will come to you.
The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind, "You are a priest for ever after the order of Mel-chiz'e-dek."
The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.
He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth.
He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head.
Psalm 103:11-13 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear him.
Psalm 115:16-18 The heavens are the LORD'S heavens, but the earth he has given to the sons of men.
The dead do not praise the LORD, nor do any that go down into silence.
But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD!
Psalm 118:13-16 I was pushed hard, so that I was falling, but the LORD helped me.
THE LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
Hark, glad songs of victory in the tents of the righteous; "The right hand of the LORD does valiantly, the right hand of the LORD is exalted, the right hand of the LORD does valiantly!"
Isaiah 40:21-24 Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?
It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grass-hoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in;
who brings princes to nought, and makes the rulers of the earth as nothing.
Scarcely are they planted, scarcely sown, scarcely has their stem taken root in the earth, when he blows upon them, and they wither, and the tempest carries them off like stubble.
Isaiah 55:8-11 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thought than your thoughts.
"For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and return not thither but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
John 14:1-6 "Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were mot so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
And you know the way where I am going.
Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?"
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.
