```TEXT:JOB 33:23-33```
```KEY VERSE:``` _*"If thou hast any thing to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee. If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom" (JOB 33:32, 33).*_
*Carolina Sandell Berg struggled with health challenges in her youth. Once, she travelled with her father on an evangelistic outreach. As they travelled by ship, her father accidentally fell overboard and drowned right in front of her. Amidst her sorrow and need for comfort, she wrote the inspiring song:*
_*"Day by day, and with every passing moment,*_
_*Strength I find, to meet my trials here."*_
*Questions on why good people suffer has been raging in the minds of many from time immemorial. While it remains largely an enigma, satisfactory answers can only be found by looking at such issues from God's bigger picture.*
*Listening to Job and his three friends' discourse, Elihu concluded they were all wrong. Though he offered better perspectives on the subject of human suffering, he could not answer all of Job's questions. Job wanted not an explanation but answers as to why he, in particular, was suffering. Neither Job's friends nor the younger Elihu, who thought he knew better, could give him a perfect answer.*
*Though sometimes God uses suffering to get His message to us and polish the rough edges of our faith, none of us have all the answers to all the questions about human suffering. However, we can be comforted by knowing that God cares for us and will use our pain to work for our good. Many Elihus are often quick to teach sufferers wisdom, thinking they know better but do not realise how limited in knowledge they are. Hurting people need God's comfort, not just a cold answer or a thesis on the causes of human pain. If you are hurting or confused about any issues in life, seek God. Ask Him to make Himself known in your situation, and you will find relief and come out stronger and wiser.*
