COUNTERFEIT MIRACLES TO ADVANCE FALSE TRADITIONS.
The Bible warns that Satan performs deceptions that look like the work of God, creating the impression of genuine miracles. Crowds witnessing something supernatural does not make it truth. The same enemy who brings sickness can also produce a counterfeit “healing” to mislead.

Miracles by themselves are NEVER proof that something is from God. The teachings, beliefs and actions behind those miracles must fully align with the Word of God, otherwise the miracle is a deception.

As Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 11:14:
“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

In Catholicism there is a strong reliance on so-called miracles to validate doctrines and traditions that cannot be supported from Scripture. Throughout history, reports of apparitions, bleeding statues, weeping icons, and supernatural signs have been used to reinforce teachings such as praying to the dead, venerating Mary, purgatory, and the authority of tradition above the Bible.

Historical examples include:

The “Miracle” of the Sun (1917), used to promote Marian apparitions and messages that contradict Scripture.

Bleeding or weeping statues, often later exposed as frauds or unexplained phenomena used to strengthen devotion to saints or images.

Medieval relic miracles, where objects like bones, nails, or cloths are claimed to heal or grant favor, leading to superstition and financial exploitation.

But the Bible consistently warns against accepting miracle-based authority when the teachings behind them do not come from God.

These Are Clear Biblical refutations:
Jesus warned that false prophets will show great signs and wonders to deceive (Matthew 24:24).

Paul declared that Satan works “with all power and signs and lying wonders” (2 Thessalonians 2:9).

Scripture commands believers to “test the spirits” (1 John 4:1) and to base truth on the Word, not supernatural appearances.

True miracles always point people back to the SCRIPTURES and to obedience to God never toward traditions or beliefs that contradict His Word.
