This is very fascinating. I copied one text in KJV, and the other in NKJV, because each verse is translated better in that version. Consider:

Hosea 4:1 KJV
Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
Hosea 4:2 NKJV
By swearing and lying, Killing and stealing and committing adultery, They break all restraint, With bloodshed upon bloodshed.
Israel is anyone who claims to be a Christian in these days. We are spiritual Israel, as then literal nation is no longer the chosen people. And the Lord has a controversy with His people. As a people, we have forgotten God. And what does that lead to?
It leads to all the sins of verse 2, and more. But notice the sins that result from setting God's ways aside. Cussing and lying are classed with theft, and sexual immorality.
And what is the result of these sins? They "break all restraint," and the floodgates open. Murders of all types happens. And don't think you aren't a murderer if you've never physically taken the life of another human. Have you wished death on someone or hated them? Jesus Himself classed that as murder as well.

Hosea 4:3 KJV
Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
This word for languish, means to grow feeble or sick. We are told here in Hosea that animals would grow sick in the last days, and they wouldn't be safe to eat. This is further confirmed in the Spirit of Prophecy:
"....disease in animals is increasing in proportion to the increase of wickedness among men. The time is near when, because of the iniquity of the fallen race, the whole animal creation will groan under the diseases that curse our earth." CD 349.1
All you have to do is research what happens in slaughter houses. If they see cancer in beef, they cut it out and sell the rest, not realizing or caring that the rest of the carcass is also contaminated. They do the same with chicken and other meats.
Animals. Especially cows, are also produced with rgbh, or growth hormones. They are also given antibiotics. When they are slaughtered or milked, they are sick, afraid, and full of anxiety. Then people eat these steaks and dairy, then they wonder why they can't think straight and are depressed with anxiety, not realizing that you are what you eat. This is especially true of young people who are already going through the hormonal changes of puberty and young adulthood.
