WHEN YOU FEEL IMPATIENT
Lord, I’m so impatient.
Nothing seems to be going my way:
everything seems to be against me,
from traffic lights through computers
and supermarket queues to relationships.
There seems to be no end to it.
Thank you that you are patient …
with me and everyone in the world.
Thank you that you do not deal with us
according to what we deserve.
May I learn to trust you more, in all that you are,
in your timing, in your justice,
in your love that never fails.
Lord, help me to become just a little less restless!
I pray in Christ’s name.
