WHEN YOU FEEL LONELY
Lord, I feel so desperately lonely.
I feel I’ve got no close friends around me.
They’ve all moved away and
I seem to know no one deeply at all …
no one I can be myself with.
Please help me to remember you
are with me always—yes, even now,
that nothing can separate me from your love.
May I sense your close presence afresh.
But, Lord, I pray also that you will bring
people across my path who can be supportive.
May I be a friend to others, Lord,
and in so doing may I make new friends.
