Horoscopes, here's your sign.

Are you going to meet a tall, dark, handsome stranger?
Are you going to see change at home or at work or have a visit from Lady Luck?
Why in and age when we are unlikely to dance to change the weather, or throw our neighbor into a river to see if they are a witch, do we read our star signs?
Some 75% of the people read daily horoscopes while a whole quarter of those, believe them, and of those another 25% go to astrology readers, for personal readings, and those figures have stayed consistent for decades,
since horoscopes were first printed in newspapers starting in the (Sunday Express), which, on August 24th, 1930, printed a birth horoscope for Princess Margaret Rose
Several of today's influencers believe (actively) in the horoscope for their daily life, such as actor Robert Downey Jr. and singer Britney Spears, to name just a couple.
While also Nancy Reagan also would seek to influence past President Ronald Reagan's actions through astrologically auspicious days.
At least 12 million people read worldwide horoscopes every day, believing the signs in the Stars.
What does the word of God have to say about those who consult with astrologers and use astrology as guidance for their daily lives?
All the councils you've received has only worn you out, let your astrologers come forward, those star gazers, who make predictions month by month, let them save you from what is coming upon you, surely they are like stubble, the fire will burn them up, they cannot even save themselves from the flame. Each of them goes on in their error. There is not one who can save you. Isaiah 47:13-15 NIV.
If you are wondering where astrology came from, well, it originated in ancient Babylon, back then astrologers were known as Chaldeans, in the Book of Daniel, they were referred to as the (wise men) of Nebuchadnezzar.
So the king summoned the magician's the enchanters, sorcerers, and astrologers to tell him what he had dreamed. Daniel 2:2 NIV.
Daniel answered in the presence of the king and said, the secret which the King has dreamed, the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, and the sooth sayers, cannot declare to the king, but there is a God in heaven, who reveals secrets. Daniel 2:28 (A).
We are warned to keep from such things for the protection from sin.
Do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations. There, the nations you will dispossess, listen to those who practice sorcery and divination, but as for you, the Lord has not permitted you to do so. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord. Deuteronomy 18:9, 12, and 14. NIV.
Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits and do not seek after them to be defiled by them, I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 19:31 NKJV.
The stars are not to be believed because they are not permanent figures to be counted on.
Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my word shall never pass away. Matthew 24:35 ESV.
If you desire wisdom and guidance in your daily life, open the Bible to the books of Psalms and Proverbs. There, you will find true wisdom and guidance for day-to-day life.
Your word is a lamp into my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119: 105 KJV.
In the book, That I may know Him.
By Ellen G. white, she wrote, the wisdom spoken of by the Psalmist, is that which is attained, when the truth is opened to the mind, and applied to the Heart by the spirit of God.
When its principles are brought into the character, by a life of practical Godliness.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for Your word, which leads to the light of all truth and life.
Please open my heart and mind to Your Word, so that I learn truth, grow spiritually, and obtain eternal life through You.
Please forgive me for all my sins, sanctify me, and live through me. In Jesus' name. Amen.
