Just Do It
If there is something that God is impressing you to do... go forward with Holy Spirit boldness and do it! Don’t delay, mull it over, or procrastinate because “later” becomes never, and you’ll miss out on what God had planned for you. Make this your daily prayer: “Lord, make me instant to Your will,” because you don’t want to miss even one opportunity for God to use you! The Bible tells us in Proverbs 6:4, “Don’t put it off; do it now! Don’t rest until you do.” Notice that this verse tells you not to even rest until you are finished. Sadly, too often, people are not willing to give God control. They are reluctant to fully surrender their hearts to God because they’re afraid of what He might ask them to do. Perhaps they feel insecure or unworthy for God to use them, or are afraid of the embarrassment of failing. Instead of being focused on the possibility of failure, focus on what you will learn along the way. You are never too weak, too poor, or too insignificant for God to work through you. If you think you’re too small to make a difference, you probably haven’t spent a night in a room with a mosquito. That tiny insect has the power to make you absolutely miserable! Don’t live in fear. Step out in faith and take God’s hand. Remember that He will never ask you to do something and then leave you struggling to do it alone. You can trust that God’s got you . . . so when He gives you a task, don’t hesitate, procrastinate, or talk yourself out of it . . . just do it! Text: 1 Corinthians 14:40, John 9:4, Proverbs 10:4, Hosea 10:12
