TRAGIC LOSS AT BROWN UNIVERSITY LEADS TO ETERNAL HOPE: ELLA COOK’S FAITH SHINES ETERNALLY
Brown University sophomore Ella Cook, 19, from Alabama, was killed in the December 13 shooting on campus, along with freshman Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov. Nine others were injured.
Known for her deep Christian faith, Ella taught Bible studies and Sunday School. Her obituary states: “Foremost, her Christian faith, especially in the Death and Resurrection of Christ. She really meant it! She wanted to share the good news… Her personal faith shone like a bright Christmas star.”
Rev. Craig Smalley called her a “faithful bright light.” Leaders like Sens. Katie Britt and Tommy Tuberville praised her devotion.
In sorrow, we remember: Death has no victory in Christ. Ella is with her Savior.
