“I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!” Isaiah 65:24 NLT

When I was six years old, I remember asking my mother, “What is Jesus’ address?” For, you see, I had just learned the captivating art of writing a letter. And of course, I wanted to send my very first one to Jesus’ house! I selected the finest sheet of copy paper the printer tray had to offer and went to work on assembling what would soon be my greatest masterpiece—a letter fit for a King!

Sprawled out on the kitchen table was a lavish display of glitter pens, construction paper, stickers, crayons, colored pencils, markers, yarn, the list goes on. I had anything you could possibly ever want or need to write an extravagant letter, and I had it in every shade. The table was flushed with color, putting even the most dazzling rainbow to shame!

After some time and a lot of glitter, my letter was complete. I signed my name and sealed it with a kiss and a hug! Now, the only thing left to do was to add the stamp and the address. After concluding with my mother’s help that Jesus’ home address was “Heaven,” I grabbed a purple glitter pen and wrote those six letters on the front of the envelope with the absolute best handwriting I was capable of. I picked out a stamp with an American flag and placed the envelope in the mailbox, ready for the mailman to take it away. Little did he know he had quite a delivery to make.

It’s a beautiful thing to know that our God requires no gifts, no payment, no outward change in order for us to come to Him. Jesus has hand-carved a path so that any of His children, lost or found, may find their way to Him. He pursues us because to Him, we are invaluable! He seeks for those quiet moments with us and cherishes the time we spend with Him. He’s already paid every debt, so we don’t have to worry the next time we want to come before Him because there is no postage necessary.
