Ecclesiastes 5:1-7 GNB
Proverbs 10:18-22 Anyone who hides hatred is a liar. Anyone who spreads gossip is a fool.
The more you talk, the more likely you are to sin. If you are wise, you will keep quiet.
A good person's words are like pure silver; a wicked person's ideas are worthless.
A good person's words will benefit many people, but you can kill yourself with stupidity.
It is the LORD's blessing that makes you wealthy. Hard work can make you no richer.
Ananias and Sapphira
Acts 5:1-11 But there was a man named Ananias, who with his wife Sapphira sold some property that belonged to them.
But with his wife's agreement he kept part of the money for himself and handed the rest over to the apostles. ç
Peter said to him, “Ananias, why did you let Satan take control of you and make you lie to the Holy Spirit by keeping part of the money you received for the property?
Before you sold the property, it belonged to you; and after you sold it, the money was yours. Why, then, did you decide to do such a thing? You have not lied to human beings — you have lied to God!”
As soon as Ananias heard this, he fell down dead; and all who heard about it were terrified.
The young men came in, wrapped up his body, carried him out, and buried him.
About three hours later his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in.
Peter asked her, “Tell me, was this the full amount you and your husband received for your property?”
“Yes,” she answered, “the full amount.”
So Peter said to her, “Why did you and your husband decide to put the Lord's Spirit to the test? The men who buried your husband are now at the door, and they will carry you out too!”
At once she fell down at his feet and died. The young men came in and saw that she was dead, so they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.
The whole church and all the others who heard of this were terrified.

Proverbs 6:1-5 Have you promised to be responsible for someone else's debts, my child?
Have you been caught by your own words, trapped by your own promises? 3
Well then, my child, you are in that person's power, but this is how to get out of it: hurry to him, and beg him to release you.
Don't let yourself go to sleep or even stop to rest.
Get out of the trap like a bird or a deer escaping from a hunter.
1 Corinthians 11:7-16 A man has no need to cover his head, because he reflects the image and glory of God. But woman reflects the glory of man;
for man was not created from woman, but woman from man.
Nor was man created for woman's sake, but woman was created for man's sake.
On account of the angels, then, a woman should have a covering over her head to show that she is under her husband's authority.
In our life in the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.
For as woman was made from man, in the same way man is born of woman; and it is God who brings everything into existence.
Judge for yourselves whether it is proper for a woman to pray to God in public worship with nothing on her head.
Why, nature itself teaches you that long hair on a man is a disgrace,
but on a woman it is a thing of beauty. Her long hair has been given her to serve as a covering.
But if anyone wants to argue about it, all I have to say is that neither we nor the churches of God have any other custom in worship.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 After all this, there is only one thing to say: have reverence for God, and obey his commands, because this is all that human beings were created for.
God is going to judge everything we do, whether good or bad, even things done in secret.
