Heavenly Father, We come before You this Tuesday morning with grateful hearts, acknowledging that this is the day which the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24). We thank You for the gift of life, for Your mercy that is new every morning, and for Your faithfulness that never fails (Lamentations 3:22–23).
Lord, we lift up every friend and family members who are grieving during this holiday season. For many, this is the first Christmas without their loved ones, and for others, the pain resurfaces year after year, and the pain feels overwhelming. You are close to the brokenhearted and You save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Comfort them, Lord. Wrap them in Your peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them feel Your presence in the empty spaces and remind them that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Remind them that we do not grieve without hope, for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).
Father, we pray for family members who are seeking employment. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Your Word declares that You shall supply all our need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Give favor, wisdom, and provision, and strengthen their faith as they wait on You (Isaiah 40:31).
Lord, we lift up those who could not be with their families during this holiday season. For those separated by distance, circumstance, or duty, we ask that You be their comfort and their companion. Remind them that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5), and let Your love fill every empty space.
We pray for our family members serving in the United States Armed Forces. Cover them with Your protection. Be a shield around them (Psalm 3:3). Watch over their minds, bodies, and spirits, and return them home safely in Your perfect timing. Give peace to their families who wait and pray.
Father, we lift up those who are sick—physically, mentally, or emotionally. You are the Lord who heals us (Exodus 15:26). Your Word says, by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Touch them with Your healing power. Renew their strength, calm their minds, and restore them completely according to Your will.
Lord, we pray for family members who are incarcerated. Even behind walls and bars, Your Word is not bound (2 Timothy 2:9). Be their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Bring repentance, transformation, hope, and restoration. Remind them that whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36).
Jesus, we thank You for being the Reason for this season. You were born to die, and You took our place on the cross. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3:16). Thank You for Your sacrifice, Your love, and the salvation we have through You.
As we walk through this Tuesday, let Your light shine in and through our family. Fill our homes with peace, our hearts with hope, and our lives with purpose. We place everything in Your hands, trusting You completely.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray,
Amen.
