THE GOD OF ALL FLESH
Scripture Focus:
> "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?" — Jeremiah 32:27 (KJV)
There is a common misunderstanding regarding this verse. Some use the phrase "God of all flesh" to suggest a universal salvation—arguing that because God created everyone, He would never allow anyone to face judgment. Even within the church, some misinterpret this as a "universal fatherhood" that ignores the necessity of faith.
However, the context of Jeremiah 32 tells a different story. At this moment, the Chaldean army was at the gates, ready to strike with swords and spears. Fear had gripped the people. In response to their terror, God spoke through Jeremiah to remind them of His absolute sovereignty.
By saying He is the "God of all flesh," God was declaring: "I am the Creator of every human being; I know exactly what man is capable of, and I hold power over every heart and hand." He wasn't discussing salvation doctrine; He was asserting His ability to deliver His people from their enemies. If He created the flesh, He can certainly control the outcome of the battle.
The Takeaway for You:
Child of God, do not be intimidated by the threats of men or women who vow to cause you harm. Whether it is a workplace rival, a physical adversary, or those who seek your ruin, remember that their very breath is in the hands of the God you serve. There is nothing too difficult for Him. Put your faith in the Creator, and He will deal with the creature.
Daily Prayer
Father, I thank You for the clarity of Your Word. I am a success today because I walk in the light of Your revelation. I trust in Your power over all circumstances and thank You for the victory I have in Christ Jesus. Amen.
