THE COMMAND IS FOR ALL

Scripture Reading: Matthew 14:26–29 (KJV)
> And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
> But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
> And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
> And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

Reflection
Fear kept the disciples in the boat, but faith enabled Peter to step out. Notice that when Peter asked Jesus to call him, the Lord’s response was simple: “Come.”

That word was not limited to Peter alone—it was a command spoken into the atmosphere, available to anyone who dared to believe. Every disciple could have walked on water that day if they had overcome fear.

The same principle applies to us today. God’s promises are not restricted to one person or one moment. When Scripture declares, “My cup runneth over” (Psalm 23:5), it is not only David’s testimony—it is an invitation for all who trust in the Lord.

Faith unlocks what fear keeps hidden. The command is for all. Be wise, and step into it.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me the path out of my troubles. By faith, I declare freedom today. Amen.

Bible Reference
Psalm 30:1–12

Wisdom Capsule
Proverbs 10:13 (MSG):
“You’ll find wisdom on the lips of a person of insight, but the shortsighted needs a slap in the face.”
