SPARE NOT

Scripture:
“Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes.”
— Isaiah 54:2 (KJV)

Reflection
Years ago, the Spirit taught me a profound lesson that has remained with me ever since. He revealed it through the story of the widow of one of the sons of the prophets (2 Kings 4:1–7). After her husband’s death, creditors came to take her sons as payment for the debt.

In her desperation, she sought Elisha’s counsel. He asked what she had in her house, and she replied, “A small jar of oil.” Elisha instructed her to borrow vessels from her neighbors—“Borrow not a few.” She obeyed, and as she poured, the oil flowed until every vessel was filled. She sold the oil, paid her debt, and lived in abundance.

Here lies the secret: the oil only ceased when she declared, “There are no more vessels.” The Lord impressed upon me that He fills only the space we make available to Him. The measure of our faith, vision, and obedience determines the measure of His outpouring.

So when God calls you to dream, to act, or to prepare, do not limit Him. Do not spare. Give Him room, and He will fill it.

Prayer
Father, thank You for revealing the Spirit’s way of success. I choose to enlarge my vision, to prepare without sparing, and to trust You to fill every space I yield. Amen.
