Naughty Or Nice
For many children around the world, the mere mention of Christmas brings thoughts of presents under a tree, followed by a sudden panic about which list Santa will put their name on - naughty or nice list! Fortunately, our futures are not dictated by a fictional character named Santa, but the truth is, we are all on the “naughty list!” The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Thankfully, the BEST gift we could ever receive, God has already given us, and that is the gift of eternal life. This gift is made possible through His Son, Jesus Christ, who came to this earth to give His life so that we might live! It just doesn’t get better than that! Not even the most expensive, beautifully-wrapped package under a tree can compare! It’s a gift that cannot be earned, purchased, or deserved, for it has nothing to do with our “goodness” or anything amazing that we’ve done. It’s all because of God’s great love, grace, and mercy - period! God has this amazing gift ready for you to unwrap, but first you must accept it by believing in Jesus. The Bible tells us in Acts 16, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” And in Romans 10:9 we’re told, “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Jesus loves you more than you could possibly imagine and is longing for you to run into His outstretched arms. Make this Christmas the best one ever by accepting His gift of salvation. Text: Titus 3:5, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16-18, Romans 10:9-10
