Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
MERRY CHRISTMAS.
This morning is filled with excitement and unfettered love. This morning, little ones anxiously await the opportunity to open the surprises that have been delivered. Parents anxiously await the reactions to their children’s faces as they open their gifts. The eyes of everyone embrace this most exciting moment, one time a year. Paper flying or being meticulously removed, the eager anticipation of the contents creates an atmosphere of pure joy.
Can you imagine the excitement that God has each time Christmas rolls around and we unwrap His son … again? When we acknowledge His sacrifice for us? When we show the Joy and Love we were taught, without favor? Can you imagine the anxious anticipation in His Spirit as another fallen is raised up?
All year round, seeds are planted. Paper meticulously and carefully measured to make sure of the perfect fit. The rows of seeds watered and weeded as each piece of tape is carefully placed on the edges to make sure of the prettiest gift ever. Then, the day comes for harvest…the bow is placed on the box. All the pieces are there; the roots are solid. When Love is poured out and the revelation drenches the soul, the wrapping paper is pulled off, and God’s presence is revealed in yet another soul. What a precious gift. The nice thing about Christmas is that it does not have to be once a year…we can plant, water, wrap, and expose Love all year round.
I was telling my granddaughter last night that I would like to see Christmas all year round. Not just one day a year. For the Love of my God is too big to be held in one small box…it must be released every day so that all can hold it close and enjoy His unconditional presence.
Will you join me in this endeavor to make Christmas a 365-day event and spread the love of His Son’s sacrifice?
***In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. – John 1:1-4
