DAY 5 — “Light That Finds You”

“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.”
— John 1:9

We often talk about “finding God.”
Christmas tells a different story.
The shepherds were not searching for light.
They were watching sheep.
The wise men followed a star, yes —
but the announcement came to men who weren’t looking at the sky.
The light came looking for them.
This is the scandal of grace:
God is the initiator.
Before prayer was formed,
before repentance was polished,
before belief was certain —
the light was already on the move.
If you feel slow to respond, unsure, or behind —
take heart.
You were never meant to find your way to the light alone.
The light finds you.

Stop measuring your faith by how well you search.
Start trusting the One who pursues.

Lord,
Thank You for coming toward me
when I did not know how to come to You.
Keep finding me.
Amen.
