Eternity isn't hope, it's Destination.
Scripture Reference: "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:1-4 (ESV)
Reflection: Being rooted in Christ means anchoring your life in a hope that is bigger than anything you see today. It rewrites the self narrative for the new Jesus followers and cements it for the seasoned. Revelation 21:1–4 gives us a breathtaking glimpse of what God is building—a renewed creation where everything broken is restored, every wound is healed, and every tear is wiped away. This isn’t just a distant promise. It’s a present foundation. When your roots go deep into Christ, you draw strength from the future He has secured. God dwelling with His people isn’t just a future event—it’s a present reality through Christ.
Challenge: If Christ is making all things new, what is one area of your life you’ve been reluctant to surrender to His renewal and what step can you take today to root that area more deeply in Him?
Prayer:Lord Jesus, root my life deeply in You. Let Your presence be the ground I stand on and the hope I cling to. As You prepare a new heaven and a new earth, prepare my heart to reflect Your renewal today. Make me steady, make me faithful, and make me new. Amen
