Welcome!

Dear brothers and sisters, family, and friends,

we have arrived once again at the Christmas season—that moment when the calendar invites us to remember something the Christian heart should never forget: God entered our history. In the midst of hurried routines, prepared tables, good memories, and the longing that tightens our chest, we are called to behold the mystery of grace: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).

Christmas reminds us that God’s light did not shine first in palaces, but in a manger. The eternal Son did not come wrapped in glory visible to human eyes, but in weakness, dependence, and simplicity. As the angel announced to the shepherds: “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11). Do you see? It is not merely a date—it is an announcement that echoes through the centuries: a Savior has been born. And that changes everything.

Perhaps this year has been heavy for you. Perhaps there are battles no one sees, prayers still unanswered, weariness piled up in the soul. Christmas does not ignore these pains. On the contrary, it welcomes them. The God who became man knows what it is to weep, to be hungry, to be rejected, and to suffer. In Christ, we have a Savior who does not watch our pain from a distance, but walks with us through the valley. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given” (Isaiah 9:6)—given by grace, not deserved, sufficient to sustain us.

May this Christmas the Holy Spirit lead our hearts back to what is essential. May we celebrate with gratitude, yes, but also with reverence. May our homes be places of peace, our gatherings be marked by forgiveness, and our words reflect the hope we have received in Christ. And if all you can do today is simply rest in this simple truth, that is already much: God is with us.

I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas, filled with the presence of Christ, with joy that does not depend on circumstances, and with hope that does not disappoint. May the grace of the Lord Jesus, the love of the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all, today and always. Amen.
