ALL ATTENTION ON HIS RETURN
Do Not Be Deceived Into focusing In The Wrong Direction

False religion often seeks to disarm the conscience by fixing the mind on a harmless image, the baby Jesus in the manger, while quietly diverting attention from the solemn reality that the same Jesus is soon returning as King and Judge. While we are deeply grateful that Christ came in humility to save fallen humanity, Scripture makes it clear that this event was never meant to be the stopping point of the Christian faith.

The first advent of Christ reveals God’s love; the second advent reveals God’s justice, authority, and final deliverance. To linger sentimentally at the manger while ignoring the prophetic warnings and preparation required for His return is to misunderstand the gospel itself. The Apostle Paul reminds us that Christ “will appear the second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly wait for Him” (Hebrews 9:28). The Bible consistently directs the believer forward, not backward.

Prophecy exposes Satan’s strategy: to keep the world comforted, distracted, and unprepared. A Christ kept forever as an infant makes no demands, no repentance, no obedience, no watchfulness. But the risen Christ, now ministering in the heavenly sanctuary, calls His people to holiness, faithfulness, and readiness. He declares, “Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book” (Revelation 22:7).

Jesus Himself warned against religious deception in the last days, forms of godliness that deny present truth and prophetic urgency (Matthew 24:4–5). True faith does not merely celebrate that Christ came; it prepares for the fact that He is coming again. The prophetic books of Daniel and Revelation were written specifically for the generation living nearest to His return, calling God’s people to spiritual alertness, obedience to His Commandments, and faith in Jesus.

The manger points us to the cross, but the cross points us to the throne. Christ is no longer a child wrapped in swaddling clothes; He is the soon-coming King of kings. The great question is not whether we admire His birth, but whether we are ready to meet Him at His return. Now is the time to watch, to pray, and to live in harmony with Heaven, for the Judge stands at the door.
