Let’s build the mirror

DAY 1 — DAVID
“You Are the Man”
Scripture: 2 Samuel 12:7 · Psalm 51:6

David was anointed.
David was victorious.
David was still accountable.
His fall didn’t begin on a rooftop.
It began when no one was allowed to speak into his life anymore.
God didn’t send an enemy to confront him.
He sent a prophet with a story —
and then a sentence that still echoes through history:
“You are the man.”
Not to destroy him.
To restore him.
David didn’t argue.
Didn’t explain.
Didn’t shift blame.
He agreed with the mirror.
Psalm 51 was not written to save David’s reputation.
It was written to save his heart.
Modern mirror moment:
We confess sin generally so we don’t have to repent specifically.
We say, “God knows my heart,”
when the truth is — we’re avoiding letting Him search it.

Lord, don’t let my calling outgrow my character.
Speak plainly to me, even when it hurts.
I choose truth over image, and repentance over silence.
You can search me — I won’t look away.
