Don’t Ever Give Up – It’s Worth It!
In Genesis 28:15, God promised Jacob: “I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go… I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” Later, Jacob wrestled with God and declared, “I will not let You go unless You bless me” (Genesis 32:26). When Jacob was honest about who he was, God transformed him into Israel—a prince with God.
This is the same promise for us in Christ. Romans 8:28–30 reminds us that God is shaping us into the image of His Son. He will not give up until His work in us is complete. That means freedom from sin, joy in trials, and a life overflowing with His Spirit to bless others.
Jesus taught us in Luke 18:1 to “always pray and not give up.” Just as the persistent widow received justice, we too must keep pressing in—whether for deliverance, healing, provision, or strength. God delights to answer, sometimes in ways we only understand later.
Paul encourages us: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9). And at the end of our race, may we echo his words: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).
Dear brothers and sisters, God will never give up on you. So don’t give up on Him. Hold fast, endure in love, and shine with His glory until the crown of righteousness is placed upon you in eternity. Amen.
