Heavenly Father, We come before You with grateful hearts on this final Tuesday of the year. You have kept us, carried us, and sustained our family through every season—through joy and through trials. As Your Word declares, “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22–23).
Lord, we thank You for bringing our family to the threshold of a new year. You were our refuge in uncertain moments, our strength in weakness, and our peace in storms. “The Lord is our strength and song, and He is become our salvation” (Psalm 118:14).
As we close this year, we ask that You forgive us for anything that did not please You—every word spoken in haste, every missed opportunity to love, every moment of fear instead of faith. Cleanse us, renew us, and restore us. “Create in us a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within us” (Psalm 51:10).
Father, we place every family member in Your hands—young and old, near and far. Cover us with Your protection and peace. Let no harm come near our dwelling. “The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore” (Psalm 121:8).
As we step into the New Year, we declare new beginnings over our family. We will not carry old burdens, old pain, or old defeats with us. Your Word says, “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?” (Isaiah 43:19). Lord, do that new thing in our homes, our hearts, and our future.
Strengthen our faith for what lies ahead. Give us courage to walk boldly into the plans You have prepared for us. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11).
We pray for unity, love, and understanding within our family. Heal every strained relationship. Restore joy where there has been heaviness. Let our homes be filled with laughter, worship, and the presence of Your Holy Spirit. “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we dedicate the coming year to You. Order our steps, guide our decisions, and lead us in Your will. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5–6).
We enter the New Year with thanksgiving, expectation, and praise, declaring that the best is yet to come for our family—because You go before us. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
