THE ADVENT TRUTH
I Have a 60-Second Sabbath Challenge for you:
(SHOW ME THE VERSE)!
Christians everywhere call Sunday “the Lord’s Day.” It’s on bulletins, websites, church signs — even preached from pulpits. But here’s the thing nobody seems willing to ask: Where is the Bible verse that says Sunday is the Lord’s Day?
I’m not looking for assumptions.
I’m not looking for tradition.
I’m not looking for church history.
I’m not even looking for the writings of the so-called church fathers.
And oh yes, I absolutely will not accept the Didache or any other “apostolic writings” that people love to bring up. Why? Because they aren’t Scripture. They contradict the Bible, and the Bible says itself: “ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God” (2 Timothy 3:16) — not human tradition, not extra-biblical texts.
The only day God ever blessed, sanctified, and called holy is the seventh day — the Sabbath (Genesis 2:2–3). Jesus Himself said, “The Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath” (Mark 2:28) — not Sunday. When God gave the Ten Commandments, He said, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy” (Exodus 20:8–11). Not the first day. Not a “resurrection day.” Not “the Lord’s Day.” Just the Sabbath — the seventh day.
So here’s the challenge:
Show me ONE Bible verse that calls Sunday the Lord’s Day.
Not a theory.
Not a side-comment.
Not a man-made tradition.
One. Verse. In. Scripture.
Because if it’s in the Bible, I’ll preach it.
But if it’s not… why are we?
Drop it in the comments, send a DM, whatever you’ve got to do. But until someone can show me the verse, I’ll stand with the Word of God, and the day HE called holy. The Sabbath — the seventh day — is still the Lord’s Day.
Can you prove otherwise from Scripture alone?
