DAY 4 — JONAH
“Is It Right for You to Be Angry?”
Scripture: Jonah 4:4

Jonah did what God asked.
He went.
He spoke.
The city repented.
And Jonah was furious.
Jonah didn’t run because he hated Nineveh.
He ran because he knew God.
“I knew that You are a gracious and compassionate God…”
Jonah obeyed the command
but resisted the character of God.
God didn’t rebuke Jonah’s mission.
He questioned Jonah’s heart.
“Is it right for you to be angry?”
Not “Why are you angry?”
But “Do you have the right to be?”

Modern mirror moment:
We love God’s mercy when it rescues us.
We struggle with it when it restores people we don’t think deserve it.
We obey outwardly
while arguing inwardly.

Lord, heal the anger I’ve baptized as discernment.
Free me from resentment that hides behind obedience.
Give me Your heart — not just Your assignments.
