Most Holy and Eternal Father, We come before You this Thankful Thursday morning with humble hearts and lifted hands, acknowledging You as the Author and Finisher of our faith. Thank You for allowing us to see the first sunrise of 2026. Thank You for grace that sustained us, mercy that covered us, and love that never let us go. We pause at the threshold of this new year to give You the honor, glory, and praise You alone deserve.
Your Word declares, “O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever” (Psalm 107:1). Today we choose gratitude over fear, faith over doubt, and praise over worry. We thank You not only for what You did, but for who You are—faithful, sovereign, compassionate, and unchanging.
Lord, as we reflect on the year behind us, we thank You for every trial that strengthened us, every delay that protected us, and every open door that advanced us. Even in moments of weakness, You proved Yourself strong. When we were uncertain, You were steady. When we were weary, You were near. “Hitherto hath the Lord helped us” (1 Samuel 7:12), and for that, we give You thanks.
Father God, as we step boldly into 2026, we dedicate this year wholly unto You. We lay down every plan, ambition, and expectation at Your feet. We ask that You order our steps and establish our thoughts. “Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established” (Proverbs 16:3). Lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake.
We pray for renewed minds and transformed hearts. According to Your Word, “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2). Strip away old mindsets, unhealthy patterns, and anything that does not reflect Your holiness. Replace them with wisdom, discipline, courage, and Christlike character.
Lord, we ask for spiritual growth in 2026. Increase our hunger for Your Word and deepen our prayer lives. Let us walk in obedience and intimacy with You. Your Word says, “Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you” (James 4:8). We draw near today, trusting that You will meet us with Your presence and power.
We thank You, Father, for divine protection as this year unfolds. Be our refuge and fortress. Cover our families, our homes, our churches, and our communities. “The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore” (Psalm 121:8). Guard us from seen and unseen danger and keep us walking in peace.
Jehovah Jireh, we thank You for provision in the year ahead. Supply every need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Open doors of opportunity, bless the work of our hands, and grant us wisdom to steward what You place in our care. Teach us to be faithful, generous, and grateful.
Lord, we speak healing and restoration for 2026. Heal wounded hearts, broken relationships, tired bodies, and weary souls. You are the God who heals us (Exodus 15:26). Where there has been loss, release comfort. Where there has been delay, release acceleration. Where there has been confusion, release clarity.
On this Thankful Thursday morning, we declare that joy will be our strength. “The joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). Let praise continually be in our mouths, even when the path is uncertain. Teach us to trust You completely, for “They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever” (Psalm 125:1).
Father, make us instruments of Your love this year. Let our lives reflect Your light. Use us to encourage the discouraged, serve the hurting, and point the lost to Christ. Let our obedience bring glory to Your name and advance Your kingdom in the earth.
We seal this prayer with thanksgiving and faith, declaring that 2026 belongs to You. We step forward with confidence, knowing that You go before us, You walk beside us, and You stand behind us. “The Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee” (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We give You all the praise, all the honor, and all the glory—now and forever.
In the mighty, matchless, and holy name of Jesus Christ we pray,
Amen.
