THE VOICE WITHIN
Your Daily Guide to an Enlightened Conscience
Scripture Focus:
Romans 9:1 (AMPC) – “I am speaking the truth in Christ. I am not lying; my conscience [enlightened and prompted] by the Holy Spirit bearing witness with me.”
Devotion:
We often describe man as a spirit, who possesses a soul and lives in a body. Each part of our being has a voice. Your conscience is the voice of your human spirit—and if you are born again, it is the voice of your *recreated* spirit. It knows all things.
As the Apostle Paul writes, this conscience is enlightened and prompted by the Holy Spirit. Why? Because it is attuned to the Lord. When you are filled with the Spirit of God, your conscience becomes a reliable guide, always inclined toward His truth and direction. Learning to heed this inner voice is vital to walking in God’s light and purpose.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for this truth. Thank You for enlightening my spirit and giving me confidence to follow Your guidance each day. May I always be sensitive to the promptings of Your Spirit within me. Amen.

Wisdom for Today:
Proverbs 20:1 (MSG) – “Wine makes you mean, beer makes you quarrelsome—a staggering drunk is not much fun.”
