ROOTED TO FLOURISH
The Call to Spiritual Growth

Scripture Focus:
Psalm 92:13 (KJV) – “Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.”

Devotion:
Flourishing is the visible sign of life and growth. Just as a healthy plant naturally grows and thrives, every child of God is designed to grow spiritually. When we are planted in God’s house—connected to His presence, His people, and His Word—we are positioned to flourish.

Spiritual growth is not optional; it is the expected outcome of genuine salvation. A believer who does not grow remains underdeveloped, unable to fully contribute to or draw from the richness of kingdom life. Such stagnation becomes a weight—to oneself, to fellow believers, and to the community of faith.

After salvation, growth begins. It requires developing spiritual sensitivity: engaging in prayer, retaining and applying biblical teaching, serving actively, and stepping into the roles God prepares. If years pass without progress in prayer, understanding, or service, it is time to reevaluate your spiritual vitality. Growth demands intention, humility, and a willing heart.

You are called not merely to survive, but to thrive. Let your life reflect the vibrant, increasing life of Christ within you.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for planting me in Your house. Stir in me a desire to grow. Help me to develop spiritual depth, active faith, and a servant’s heart, that I may flourish for Your glory. Amen.

Further Reading:
Psalm 1:1-5; Matthew 4:1-11

Wisdom for Today:
Proverbs 20:5 (MSG) – “Knowing what is right is like deep water in the heart; a wise person draws from the well within.”
