“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”
— Proverbs 16:3 (KJV)

Thought Of The Day...
The first Friday of a new year is more than a date on the calendar—it is a divine checkpoint. It is a moment God invites us to pause, reflect, and realign. Before the year gains momentum, the Lord calls us to commit not just our plans, but our hearts, habits, and hopes to Him.
Many enter a new year with resolutions, but God is seeking surrender. When we commit our works to the Lord, He does more than bless what we do—He establishes how we think. A renewed year begins with a renewed mind.
God Goes Before You
“And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
— Deuteronomy 31:8 (KJV)
As 2026 unfolds, know this: you are not stepping into the unknown alone. God has already gone ahead of you. He has prepared grace for every challenge, wisdom for every decision, and strength for every assignment. Fear has no authority where God’s presence leads the way.
A Year of Fresh Beginnings
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
The enemy wants you to drag last year’s failures into this year’s purpose—but God says new. New mercy. New perspective. New endurance. New obedience. What happened behind you does not define what God will do ahead of you.
This year, let your identity in Christ—not your past experiences—set the tone for your future.
Seek First, Finish Strong
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
— Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
The order matters. When God is first, everything else falls into place. As you begin this year, choose consistency over convenience, obedience over emotion, and faith over fear. What you seek first will determine what you sustain.

Prayer...
Father God, We thank You for allowing us to see the first Friday of this new year. We stand in awe of Your faithfulness and grace. We commit our plans, our families, our ministries, and our purpose into Your hands. Order our steps, guard our hearts, and renew our minds.
Lord, close doors that are not meant for us and open doors that no man can shut. Give us discernment to hear Your voice clearly and courage to obey without hesitation. Let this year be marked by spiritual growth, increased faith, and unwavering trust in You.
We declare that 2026 will be a year of alignment, fruitfulness, and divine favor. We will walk boldly, love deeply, and serve faithfully—all for Your glory.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.

Something to Think About...
• What do I need to release from last year so I can fully embrace what God is doing now?
• Am I seeking God first or asking Him to bless my own plans?
• What spiritual habits will anchor me this year?

Declaration...
This year, I am committed, established, and led by God. My steps are ordered, my mind is renewed, and my future is secure in Christ.
