THE ADVENT TRUTH
* Jesus didn’t say He was “Lord of Rest.”
He said “The Son of Man is Lord also of the Sabbath.” (Mark 2:28).

If the Sabbath ended at the cross, why is Jesus still “Lord” of it after His resurrection? You can’t be Lord of something that no longer exists.

* “Jesus only kept Sabbath because He was under the law.”

So Jesus kept the Sabbath because He was obedient… and your argument is that Christians today shouldn’t imitate His obedience? Let that sink in. (1 John 2:6)

* “The Sabbath was just for the Jews.”

The Bible disagrees. The Sabbath was given in Eden (Genesis 2:2-3) — before Abraham, before Israel, before sin, before a Jew ever existed.
Jesus says “THE SABBATH was made for MAN” (Mark 2:27) — not “made for Jews.” The Greek word for "man" is anthropos — humanity, its where we get the word anthropology.

* “It wasn’t kept until Moses.”

Wrong again. Before Sinai, God rebuked Israel for breaking the Sabbath (Exodus 16:28), meaning they already knew it. Moses didn’t invent it — he reminded them of it.

* The apostles and the Sabbath.

Acts 13:42–44 – Gentiles begged Paul to preach to them “the next Sabbath.”
Acts 16:13 – Paul keeps Sabbath outside a synagogue.
Acts 17:2 – Paul’s “custom” was Sabbath keeping.
Acts 18:4 – Paul taught Jews AND Greeks every Sabbath.

No verse shows Sunday replacing the Sabbath. None.

The real issue isn’t “Was the Sabbath abolished?”
The real issue is this: Who has the authority to change God’s law — God or man's tradition?

Jesus said:
“Think NOT that I came to destroy the law.” (Matthew 5:17)

Daniel prophesied a power would “think to change times and laws.” (Daniel 7:25)
Only ONE commandment is both a time and a law — the 4th.

So the real question is not “Do we need the Sabbath?”
It’s “Who will you obey?”

Man-made Christianity?
Or the Word of God?
