Theme: The Unchanging Presence at the Beginning
Series: God the Beginning
Scripture:
“The same was in the beginning with God.”
— John 1:2 (NKJV)
Reflection
This verse may look short, but it carries deep power. John is making one thing very clear: nothing has ever existed without the Word being present with God. The “same” he refers to is the Word — the same Word that was God in verse one.
This means that from the very beginning, God was not alone, confused, or uncertain. God began everything with His Word beside Him. There was no trial and error. There was no guessing. There was no delay.
When the Bible says “in the beginning with God,” it tells us that the Word was not added later. The Word did not come after problems showed up. The Word was already present before anything needed fixing.
This is prophetic for your life. Before your challenges appeared, God’s Word was already present with the answer. Before your delay started, the Word already carried direction. Before fear showed up, the Word already carried peace.
If the Word was with God at the beginning, then every true beginning that comes from God must carry His Word. And anything that carries God’s Word carries God’s backing.
๐ Practical Application
Today, don’t start without the Word.
Before reacting, ask: What does God’s Word say?
Before moving forward, check if the Word is guiding you.
Before giving up, remember the Word was there before the problem.
You may feel late, but the Word is never late.
Prayer
Father, I thank You because Your Word has always been with You from the beginning. Let Your Word be present in every decision, every step, and every new season of my life. Where I feel confused, let Your Word bring clarity. Where I feel weak, let Your Word bring strength. I choose to begin again with You and with Your Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thought / Challenge for the Day
What are you trying to start without God’s Word?
Pause. Go back to the beginning.
When the Word is present, God is present — and when God is present, nothing is missing.
