THE ADVENT TRUTH
“We Are the Church That Never Changes.”

That’s one of Rome’s most persistent boasts—but history tells a different story. Let’s talk about a recent example that exposes this myth.

Pope Leo recently denied that Mary is “co-mediator” or “co-redeemer.” Seems innocent enough, right? Except… for over a century, popes have officially taught and promoted that very doctrine.

* In 1918, Pope Benedict XV said Mary “redeemed the human race together with Christ.”
* In 1933, Pope Pius XI taught that Mary “participated with Christ in the work of redemption.”
* Pope John Paul II called her “Co-Redemptrix” more than once—arguing she had a unique role in salvation alongside Jesus.

So which is it, Rome? Has Mary been co-redeemer for centuries, or not? The answer is simple: Rome does change. And not because of truth—but because of pressure, convenience, or public opinion.

But God says, “I am the LORD, I change not” (Mal. 3:6). Jesus is “the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Heb. 13:8). His truth doesn’t evolve. His Word doesn’t need “updating.” Doctrine doesn’t get “revised” to match the times.

Isaiah 8:20 says: “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”
That’s the test. Not tradition. Not councils. Not papal proclamations. But the Word of God.

So don’t just accept the boast. Test the claims. Compare the teachings. Study for yourself. Because truth doesn’t change—only human systems do.

Who will you trust?
A church that edits its doctrines?
Or a Savior whose Word stands forever?
