A Prayer for the People of Venezuela

Merciful God,
You see the suffering of a people pressed down by fear, want, and injustice.
You know the cries that rise from cities and villages, from families divided,
from children longing for bread, safety, and truth.

Grant light where lies have darkened counsel;
grant courage where terror has silenced conscience;
grant justice where power has devoured the weak.
Write again Your law upon the hearts of those who govern and those who judge,
that conscience may awaken, truth may speak, and accountability may return.

Defend the poor and the fatherless;
deliver the oppressed from the hand of violence;
break the chains of corruption, trafficking, and bloodshed.
Let truth set free those bound by deceit,
and let freedom be guarded by righteousness, not fear.
Heal the wounded, comfort the mourning,
protect the innocent, and restore what has been stolen.
Raise up leaders who love mercy, act justly, and walk humbly before You.

Turn the hearts of the violent from bloodshed,
and give the people a future of peace, dignity, and lawful freedom.

May Venezuela know not domination but deliverance,
not despair but hope,
not silence but truth spoken without fear.
