Theme: Wisdom Was There From the Start
Series: God the Beginning
Scripture:
“The LORD possessed me at the beginning of His way,
Before His works of old.
I have been established from everlasting,
From the beginning, before there was ever an earth.”
— Proverbs 8:22–23 (NKJV)
Reflection
In this passage, Wisdom is speaking. And what Wisdom says is powerful: I was there at the beginning. Before God formed the earth, before creation took shape, before anything existed — Wisdom was already present with God.
This tells us something important about God. God does not act randomly. He does not rush decisions. He does not start things without direction. Every work of God begins with wisdom.
When the Bible says Wisdom was possessed by the Lord, it means wisdom was not borrowed or learned later. It was part of God’s nature. From everlasting, wisdom has always been in operation.
This is prophetic for your life. If God is the beginning, then wisdom must also be present in your beginnings. Confusion, repeated mistakes, and painful cycles happen when people start things without God’s wisdom.
God never begins without knowing the end. And when you allow God to lead your beginning, wisdom will guide every step that follows.
๐ Practical Application
Today, return to wise beginnings.
Before you rush, ask God for wisdom.
Before you decide, invite God into the process.
Before you start again, make sure wisdom is leading.
A beginning led by wisdom will not end in regret.
Prayer
Father, I thank You because You are the God of wisdom. I ask that Your wisdom lead every beginning in my life. Where I have acted without understanding, realign me. Where I am about to start something new, go ahead of me with clarity and direction. Let wisdom establish my steps from this day forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thought / Challenge for the Day
What are you about to begin without wisdom?
Pause and invite God in.
When wisdom leads your beginning, your future is secured.
