Title: The Gamble of Lies

Scripture:
John 8:44
“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

Insight:
To love telling lies is to gamble with the devil, the father of lies. Every lie, no matter how small it appears, aligns the soul with darkness. Lies may promise escape, protection, or gain, but they plant seeds of destruction that grow into eternal loss.

Reflection:
When a person begins to delight in lies, they enter a dangerous partnership with Satan. Lies erode truth, destroy trust, and gradually silence the conscience.

God’s nature is truth, but the devil’s nature is deceit. To lie is to drift from God’s light and step into the devil’s snare. The end of such a path is not only shame, but eternal peril, where falsehood reigns forever.

Prayer:
Lord, cleanse my lips and my heart from every deceitful way. Let Your truth dwell richly within me. Give me the courage to speak truth, even when it costs me. May my words always reflect the purity and honesty of Christ within me. Amen.

Reality:
To love telling lies is to play a deadly gamble with the devil, the father of lies. Those who trade in lies play the devil’s game, but truth keeps the soul safe in God’s hand.
