PURPOSE AND THE INTRICATE TRIO (PART 2)
For Jesus, His purpose was working the works of Him who sent Him. Please note, Jesus' purpose was not the "works of Him who sent Him" rather the "working of the works of Him". This was why even in dealing with His disciples, Jesus first called them to be with Him, that he might help them understand and work these works of Him that sent Him. He even assured the disciples at that time that they were going to do greater works. John 14:12. So, purpose is not just some written instructions but the carrying out of such instructions.
On "who"? The "who" here is God. The import of this is that you must know "who". The Bible says in Daniel 11:24, that they that do know their God, shall be strong and do exploit. To be able to fulfil your purpose, you must know who has gat your back. This is not negotiable. The seven sons of Sceva experience the pain of not knowing the "who". They were terribly beaten by the demon possessed fellow they tried casting the demon from.
The "when" here was "during the day". Jesus clearly knew when He was meant to carry out His assignment and when not to carry out His assignment. Not knowing when, despite knowing "what" and "who", has led many into a frustrated life in Christ because they refuse to listen to the one who is in charge of the dispensation they are operating in. For believers, the one in charge of this dispensation is the Holy Spirit.
These three(what, when and who) are very crucial for a life of purpose for every believer, after Jesus ascended into heaven. If you get these three in place, you will be unstoppable in destiny fulfilment. In the next part, we will look at some examples of people who had a breakthrough on this.
God bless you today and beyond in Jesus name.
