I tell you the truth, the act of forgiving is one that takes great courage, because it means that you must go against the grain of your natural instinct. You have to know that to truly forgive brings great peace. But the to say "I forgive" without heart is a lie and will keep the pain alive inside you eating at you like cancer.
It may not be easy to do, the right thing rarely is.The heartbreak, pain, and emotional distress is real, but yes in time it can fade, heal, and be reborn into something so much better.
The hardest act of forgiving is to forgive yourself. We judge ourselves harshly, unfairly, and completely wrong. We use the lies of the world views, which make us into monsters of our own imagination. But you see the truth is; God created you. No you are not perfect, don't ever think you are. You are loved, don't ever believe you are not. You are special, don't let anyone tell you your nothing. God didn't make a mistake when you were born. You make mistakes because you are human and have free will. That's life. You must know you can never be too far gone from God. No matter what you have done. The world will judge you by its standards for your actions, or lack thereof. But the only true judgment come from God. He loves you more than anyone could. He knows who you are, and guess what? He still loves you... You need to forgive yourself, learn from your mistakes see yourself as what God created not as what we see reflected back in the mirror.
This is just the way I see things.
