Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom

Colossians 1:3-10 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,

for the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth;

as ye also learned of Ep'a-phras our dear fellow servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;

who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Romans 4:23-25 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;

but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised for our justification.

Results of Justification

Romans 5:1-5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

and patience, experience; and experience, hope;

and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Romans 15:4-7 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus;

that ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Gospel to the Gentiles

Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.

Romans 15:12-13 And again, Isaiah saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Colossians 1:24-29 who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church;

whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God;

even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints;

to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory;

whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus;

whereunto I also labor, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

Ephesians 4:7-10 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Chosen to Salvation

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth;

whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
