PRAYERFUL IN CHURCH, PROUD AND LOUD, AT HOME She can pray for 3 HOURS in church. But can’t listen for 3 MINUTES at home. She knows how to bind demons outside, but refuses to bind her ego inside the marriage. She kneels before God publicly, yet stands stiff with pride privately. Let’s go deeper. This is uncomfortable truth. --- 1️⃣ SOME WOMEN RESPECT PASTORS MORE THAN THEIR OWN HUSBANDS ⛪➡️🏠 They say “Yes pastor.” They say “Amen sir.” They say “I understand.” But at home? Arguments. Disrespect. Shut-down ears. They honor a man who feeds them once a week, but dishonor the man who feeds, protects, and sacrifices daily. That is not spirituality. That is misplaced reverence. The Bible never told wives to submit to pastors. It spoke clearly about husbands. --- 2️⃣ THE BIBLE IS CLEAR ABOUT RESPECT IN MARRIAGE 📖 The scripture doesn’t stutter. > Ephesians 5:33 “Let the wife see that she respects her husband.” Not “if he’s perfect.” Not “if he agrees with you.” Not “if he says it nicely.” Respect is a command, not a suggestion. --- 3️⃣ SUBMISSION IS NOT SLAVERY — IT IS ORDER ⚖️ Many confuse submission with weakness. The Bible doesn’t. > Ephesians 5:22–24 “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.” Submission is alignment. It’s cooperation. It’s humility — not silence, not abuse, not fear. You can have a voice without having an ego. --- 4️⃣ GOD WATCHES HOW YOU TREAT YOUR HUSBAND 👀 Prayer does not cancel disrespect. > 1 Peter 3:1–2 “Wives, be subject to your own husbands… that they may be won by your conduct.” Notice that: By conduct. Not by prayers. Not by fasting. Your attitude preaches louder than your tongue. --- 5️⃣ MARRIAGE IS PRACTICAL, NOT JUST SPIRITUAL 🧠❤️ Marriage needs: Listening Soft answers Accountability Emotional intelligence You can’t pray away bad communication. You can’t fast away stubbornness. You can’t rebuke what requires repentance. --- 6️⃣ THE BIBLE NEVER PROMOTES CHAOS IN THE HOME 🏡 God is a God of order. > Colossians 3:18 “Wives, submit yourselves unto your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.” > Genesis 2:24 “A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife.” That union comes with responsibility — and respect is part of that responsibility. --- 7️⃣ SPIRITUAL WOMEN BUILD, NOT BREAK 🛠️ > Proverbs 14:1 “A wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.” Not demons. Not witches. Not enemies. Her own hands. Her own mouth. Her own pride. --- 8️⃣ STOP USING PRAYER TO ESCAPE SELF-CORRECTION 🚫 Some pray long to avoid apologizing. Some fast to avoid changing. Some quote scriptures but skip obedience. God is not impressed by loud prayers and broken homes. --- FINAL TRUTH: If prayer is truly working, it must reflect in your tone, your patience, your respect. Respecting your husband does not reduce you. It reflects your maturity. Fix the ego. Fix the attitude Then pray. Rules are rules
