Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.
Yesterday, yesterday was an off day for me. I had a great night’s sleep. The day was set up to be a good one. I got to work in a fun mood. Then, something … and not even sure what exactly it was … flipped inside, and my mood went from fun to (eh). It was not long after (eh) that I could feel my temper rising … there was absolutely nothing going on that would cause it … I let my boss know, and they did the best thing for me … told me to go check on the carriers. This reminded me that I needed to go to one of my tiny towns to get something, and while I was there, I did spot checks on my clerk and my carrier. By the time I got back to the office, I was better. Time alone in the car, then talking with my employees … great way to reset the reset button that seems to have derailed.
To be completely honest, I have no idea what it was that changed my mood. There were no catastrophic situations … everything was moving smoothly. This was completely an internal issue … on my part. Somewhere in my armor, the enemy found a way in and decided to annoy me. It worked. Unfortunately, this is a normal part of life. Whenever we are moving strongly in the Right direction, he gets toddlerish. Yesterday he did, in fact, steal a little of my peace, but I was able to regain most of it by the time I got home.
When this happens, recognize it for what it is. Acknowledge it for what it is. Pray for guidance through this storm. Yes, it is a mild rain, but for whatever reason, the misty droplets are stealing peace with their random plops to your forehead … ask the Holy Spirit to guide you through this annoyance and walk with pride that you have overcome the tantrum. If you allow the enemy any access to your peace, he will do all he can to disturb it. He will do all he can to turn the tables. Sometimes it is so sly that you do not even realize that it is happening. But when you realize what it is, stop and pray. Command that he leave your presence immediately, then ask the Holy Spirit to stand with you in your storm. It helps. I promise.
Be blessed.
