Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

This morning started at about 2 am. So, I did not make it to His house today. However, since He resides in (my) house, I am still talking and worshiping him. Details of my early start are not important. It is becoming my new normal. I would ask that you pray for my husband and me as we transition into this new era of our paths.

Yesterday morning, after writing my post, I wrote the first draft of the most recent competition piece in about 30 minutes. So, obviously, it is just a rough draft and will need some work; however, the concept for this story is very easy … but very difficult in the same realm. This story, much like the one I did after my dad died, hits close to home.

The Theme of this story is Misunderstanding/Chaos. So anyone who knows me knows that is the theme of my life. The prompts are a community center, a bottle cap, and vex. Now, to be completely transparent, I know what vex means, but I have had to look it up about a dozen times to get the context right and to look for examples of it used in a sentence. My brain just would not wrap around this word. I like it though; it may become my new favorite word … haha. At first, since it was a free challenge, I did not think I would write, but as I lay my head on my pillow the other night, I had a thought about one storyline; however, by morning, God had given me the storyline.

One of the great things about living with the Holy Spirit is that you do not have to go far to get his advice. And even if it is one of those times where I won't shut up for him to get a word in, He will find a breath and speak. Right to my heart. This is very much needed for me. I need Him in this questionable part of my life. Questionable because I question my choices constantly, for I truly do not want to make a mistake. Too much is at stake. If not for His influence, I would certainly be a basket case.

Today, whether you go to His house or you invite him into yours, I encourage you to spend time alone with Him. Invite Him into your presence and ask for his peace and grace to take the next step on your path. I can tell you … it is the only way that I am able to continue walking. He guides my feet. He picks them up and puts them down. He settles my spirit when I am scared. He creates the environment that I need to push forward. I promise that if you let Him in, you will never be the same…and that is a good thing.

Be blessed.

***I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men of the earth. And I will provide a place for my people Israel and will plant them so that they can have a home of their own and no longer be disturbed. Wicked people will not oppress them anymore, as they did at the beginning. –2 Samuel 7:9-10
