PROOF THAT SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST ARE PREACHING THE PURE GOSPEL.
A Biblical Examination

From the beginning, the true gospel has never been a shallow message of “believe only and live as you please.” Scripture presents a gospel that transforms lives, restores obedience, reveals prophecy, and prepares a people to meet God. Any message that removes repentance, obedience, or God’s law, is not the gospel Christ preached, no matter how popular it may be.

When Jesus began His public ministry, His first recorded sermon defined the gospel forever: “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Mark 1:15

This single verse destroys the modern accusation that prophecy, law, and obedience have nothing to do with the gospel. Christ’s gospel contained four inseparable elements:
- Prophetic time fulfillment (“the time is fulfilled”)
- The nearness of God’s kingdom
- Repentance
- Faith

To remove any of these is to preach another gospel (Galatians 1:6–9).

The phrase “the time is fulfilled” was not vague language. It directly pointed to Daniel 9:24–27, the 70-week prophecy that predicted the timing of the Messiah’s baptism, ministry, and crucifixion.

“Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness…” Daniel 9:24

Jesus came exactly on time, fulfilling prophecy to the year. His gospel was not detached from prophecy, it was rooted in it.

Equally important, Christ did not preach salvation in sin, but salvation from sin:
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

Modern Christianity often claims that obedience is legalism. Christ says obedience is the result of salvation:
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15

Peter’s Pentecost sermon confirms the continuity of the gospel: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19

Paul preached no different message:
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…” Romans 1:16

Salvation is not merely pardon; it is power, power to live a new life.
“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” Romans 6:6

Paul explicitly rejects the idea that grace abolishes God’s law: “Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.” Romans 3:31

Critics often accuse Adventists of legalism, works-based salvation, or preaching “another gospel.” These accusations collapse under Scripture.

THE ADVENTIST MESSAGE TEACHES:
- Salvation by grace through faith alone
“For by grace are ye saved through faith… not of works.” Ephesians 2:8–9

- Righteousness by faith in Christ alone
“Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all…” — Romans 3:22–24

- Victory over sin through Christ’s indwelling life
“Sin shall not have dominion over you.” Romans 6:14

- Obedience as the fruit of faith, not its replacement
“By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith.” Romans 1:5

- A complete salvation experience justification, sanctification, and glorification Romans 8:30

Ellen G. White summarizes the biblical center of Adventist belief: “The sacrifice of Christ as an atonement for sin is the great truth around which all other truths cluster.” Gospel Workers, p. 315

And again:
“The message of justification by faith is the third angel’s message in verity.”
Review and Herald, April 1, 1890

Unlike churches that isolate the gospel from prophecy, Adventists preach the everlasting gospel exactly where Scripture places it:
“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth…”
Revelation 14:6

THIS GOSPEL INCLUDES:
- A call to worship the Creator
“Fear God, and give glory to him… and worship him that made heaven, and earth…” Revelation 14:7
- A warning against Babylon’s apostasy
Revelation 14:8
- A final test over worship and obedience
Revelation 14:9–12
This is not an Adventist invention, it is Bible prophecy.

On the subject of worship, the Bible Says:
“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy… the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God.” Exodus 20:8–11
“For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth…” Exodus 20:11

Jesus honored the Sabbath: “And he came to Nazareth… and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day.” Luke 4:16

The apostles kept it: Acts 13:42–44; Acts 16:13; Acts 17:2; Acts 18:4

Catholic authorities openly state:
- The Sabbath was changed by church authority
- Sunday observance is a mark of ecclesiastical power
- The Bible does not command Sunday sacredness

This is not a minor issue. Scripture warns:
“In vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”
Matthew 15:9

Revelation identifies the faithful remnant:
“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” Revelation 14:12

And again: “And the dragon was wroth with the woman… which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Revelation 12:17

The Seventh-day Adventist Church uniquely fulfills this description by:
- Keeping all Ten Commandments
- Proclaiming end-time prophecy
- Warning against false worship
- Preaching the heavenly judgment
Daniel 7:9–10; Daniel 8:14; Revelation 14:7

Scripture teaches that the prophetic gift would exist until the end:
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18
“Despise not prophesyings.” 1 Thessalonians 5:20

Ellen G. White passed every biblical test:
Agreement with Scripture (Isaiah 8:20)
Christ-centered message
Moral fruit
Fulfilled predictions
No contradiction of the Bible

She herself wrote:
“The Bible, and the Bible alone, is to be our creed.” The Great Controversy, Introduction

And:
“The Lord has given a lesser light to lead men and women to the greater light.” Colporteur Ministry, p. 125

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is not preaching a new gospel, but the original, complete, biblical gospel:
Christ-centered
Prophecy-based
Law-honoring
Grace-filled
End-time relevant

It is the same gospel preached by Christ, the apostles, and the prophets, now proclaimed in the final hour of earth’s history. “We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us.” Life Sketches, p. 196

This message must be preached.
This protest must continue.
This people must be prepared.

The gospel is not finished until the world is warned and Christ returns in glory.
