Bethlehem was tiny, seemingly insignificant among the cities of Judah. Yet God declared that the Ruler of Israel — the Messiah — would come from there. The prophetic power here is clear: God’s beginnings may look small, hidden, or ordinary, but they carry eternal purpose. What seems overlooked by the world is exactly where God chooses to show His glory. “Whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting” reminds us that God’s plan is not accidental.
