Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

Oh wow. I slept until 7:30 … that does not happen very often. I am well rested and stiff all at the same time. However, all is good in the world with me, my coffee is hot and refreshing, the aches in my back remind me that I accomplished something a couple of days ago that I did not think I could do, my husband slept like a rock and feels/sounds fantastic. Today is a good day.

It is a laundry/writing day. The laundry washes and dries, and I write a bunch of stories. A win-win for the day. The question is, do I actually fold and put away the laundry, or will I continue to live out of the baskets from the dryer? Oh, the questions that linger in that arena.

Last night, as I left the office, there were frosties on my windshield. Now, it was not like snow, but sleet sporadically splattered all across the window. I could see through the clear frozen water spots; the clarity of the path was like that of a clean windshield. Like many my age, I chose to only wait a couple of minutes of warm-up time to clear the windshield and drove over to the store. It was only a couple of blocks, and I figured it was safe enough. I mean, after all, I could see the road and area around me; it just had a bubble wrap view.

Pulling into the parking lot of the store, I thought, ‘this is much like how we walk around in our lives’. We can see the path we are walking, but there are only a few areas where it is clear and safe to walk, yet we decide to walk in the cloudy or obscured view area…why? … Because we can see well enough. We ignore the safety of ourselves and others as we ‘decide’ that it will be alright. However, in our path, as we walk without the appropriate clear path open to our eyes, we tend to make mistakes that result in extra complications that could have been avoided had we waited for all the information needed. Many times, in those complications, we hurt others without even knowing.

Today I would encourage you to look at the path that you are walking. Are you following the will of the Father … completely? Or, are you following the will of the Father with speckles of cloudiness or blurred vision from the enemy? The answer may surprise you if you take a concerned and hard look at how you operate on a day-to-day basis. When I pulled into that store parking lot, I could completely relate the small ride to my walk and how I allow small clutters to persuade my perspective.

If this is you, take a few extra minutes, turn on your defrosters of prayer, and clear your path before you drive and make a mistake. Mistakes can be corrected most of the time; however, if you can avoid the mistakes, it would be prudent to do so.

Be blessed.
