Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.
My goal yesterday was to write two stories and catch up on the laundry, with a bonus on the laundry if it was folded AND put away. My accomplishments for yesterday involved: writing, editing, and submitting one competition piece, all laundry (minus one load) is washed, dried, and put away (last load is in the dryer), called human resources and found out that don’t want to talk to me until after February 14th, wrote out a statement for my husband that he needs for a friend, fixed a huge breakfast and snacky dinner, talked to my mommy, and attempted to make a doctor’s appointment as requested by the doctor from the last ER visit. I also wrote another attempt at the writing challenge story, adding their first twist. It is written, but since the twists are ‘optional’ I may go back to one of my other versions. The twists do not highlight the storyline I was looking for. So, all in all, a very productive day.
Today is route inspection day. My back is yelling at me that I should bow out, but I am a stubborn cuss who wants to get it done. This route today is mostly driving, so I should not be in too much agony. Haha. The carrier is seasoned and just about my speed, so … there is that too. I should be able to keep up with him when he does have to walk. If not, I really am broken. Haha
For Christmas, I was given a jar of tiny scrolls with scripture on them. I have not really touched the jar. It has just sat on my desk. Today I picked it up and chose a green scroll. Green was coded as Grateful. There are several of each color in the jar, the one that pulled out … so relates to how I feel … every day… ‘Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. – Colossians 3:15’
I cannot express how much this verse drives me each day. How much I live by this verse. If it were not for these Words, I would be an absolute bear each and every day. It is only by these words and others like this delivering His peace to my heart that I can even get up in the morning. If I did not have His peace, I would be a complete basket case or a complete butt, all the time.
If you are in a place in your life where anxiety is creeping in, or has crept in and is taking over, I encourage you to reach into the Word and find your peace. The enemy will tell you that it does not work and to not bother … he does that because HE, the enemy, knows that it DOES work and he does not want you to feel the everlasting relief that comes from His presence in your life. The enemy knows that once you open that door, a flood gate of Love, Mercy, Grace, Peace and Joy will envelope you and he will have lost. So he will call out all the stops to keep you from enjoying the presence of the Father. Don’t allow him entry … say no to the stress … say yes to the blessing of peace in your heart … even inside the storm you are calm. I promise.
Be blessed.
